KANAKO MOMOTA

INSPIRED BY REDVALENTINO: KANAKO MOMOTA, THE CHARISMA OF ECLECTICITY

Talents are those humans whose vision inspires countless others. Like the best dreams, the strongest visions are immersive; and the visionary lives, and feels what the future is like. Nonetheless, a dreamer is not just a head-in-the-clouds, a dreamer can also be grounded in reality. For the third episode of ‘Inspired by’, REDValentino flies to Japan and pays homage to the energetic strength of Kanako Momota. This edition’s authentic protagonist is a renowned pop idol, actress, musician, rhythmic gymnast just to mention few of her magnetic skills. Kanako is an eclectic and poliedric phenomenon with countless qualities and a firmly grounded charisma. An ethereal athmosphere becomes the perfect backdrop where the artist’s talent can emerge. At ease withing the dreamy environment, she swings through the scene in REDValentino Spring/Summer ’21 collection, flawlessly moving from a piano composition to a vocal performance. A smooth and beaming aura is portrayed along with fanciful and colorful neon lights. REDValentino claims for creativity, authenticity and the beauty of unconventionality. Passion as propellant to seek freedom and uniqueness. A fresh and creative take on those people that make the difference by blending spontaneity, ability and subvert the established norm to create something extraordinary. Kanako Momota is a Japanese idol, actress and singer. She is best known as the leader of the female idol group Momoiro Clover Z. Kanako has been taking rhythmic gymnastics classes since the age of three, and jazz dance lessons since she was in the third grade of elementary school. When still in the fifth grade, Kanako won an audition and was subsequently signed to become an actress. Her trademark stunt is a “shrimp jump” (jumping with an arched back and both legs bent backwards), which she performs during the song Ikuze! Kaitō Shōjo
