London-based hair stylist Yumi Nakada-Dingle gave models Isabella Ridolfi and Frances Coombe the loose, textured hair in our Pre-Autumn/Winter ’17 campaign. Here she reveals how you can create the REDValentino look at home.
What was the look for the campaign?
“I kept the hair very natural for Isabella and Frances. Rather than loose, romantic waves, I channeled a rock chick vibe and gave the hair texture.
To achieve this lived-in look, I washed the models’ hair and roughly dried it. I then made loose waves with a large curling tongue, and mussed the hair up with a spray of dry shampoo.”
Did you have any secret styling tricks on the day?
“I used a wind machine to create movement in the hair, and give the models a wild vibe.”
What was your favorite part of working with REDValentino?
“The beautiful clothes! I felt so privileged to work with a brilliant team, and to help create the mood of the campaign.”
